The Little Coven That Could Coven Nemorensis was founded in the Wheel of the Year 2000 to serve the Sonoma County Pagan Community. Our mission was to provide seasonal Sabbat celebrations, moots, rites of passage,  train Priests and Priestesses, and support local Pagans in the best ways possible. Throughout the eleven years that the Coven flourished, we accomplished our mission. We gathered and initiated 21 people (one discorporate) who were on various traditional Paths but who all resonated with each other harmoniously. Finding common ground from which to operate, we sponsored monthly moots to informally gather and provide fellowship and resources for Pagans and Pagan-friendly folk. We held seasonal Sabbats, inviting the local community, in various locations around Sonoma County, our favorite being Elatha’s Grove beside the Russian River.  We were involved with the SCPN (Sonoma County Pagan Network), C.A.W. (Church of All Worlds) and Annwfn, and the Pagan Alliance in Berkeley. We helped support our troops in Iraq (two of our Coverners served there). We performed handfastings and baby blessings. We made three Priests and a Priestess. But, as the Wheel turns, folks move away or become distracted by life issues so, over time our once thriving Coven dwindled in active participants to the level where we were no longer able to continue the large body of work necessary for such a group. As Nature teaches us, everything changes. Coven Nemorensis Made with Xara
